Regional journalists have until Friday to enter a set of awards celebrating the best of digital journalism..

Entries for this year’s Online Media Awards, which features a prize for Best Local or Regional News Site, close at the end of the week.

Other awards up for grabs include Online Editor of the Year, Digital Writer of the Year and the newly-created accolade of Best Sports News Site.

The awards, run by The Drum, are now in their seventh year. A total of 40 categories are on offer.

All entries should be received by Friday 24 February and nominations will be announced on Friday 21 April.

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday 1 June at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel, London. More information can be found here.
