Trinity Mirror has announced the appointment of a new group company secretary in succession to Paul Vickers who left the role last year.

Jeremy Rhodes has now taken up the position with the regional and national newspaper publisher.

A statement on the Trinity Mirror website reads: “Jeremy has extensive company secretarial and governance experience having worked with a number of UK and internationally listed companies across a range of sectors.”

Most recently he served as interim senior company secretary with Jupiter Fund Management plc.
