The National Union of Journalists is inviting applications for the post of editor of its magazine the Journalist.

The union is to hold an election for the post this autumn with the winner holding the job for the next five years.

Would-be candidates – who must be paid-up NUJ members – have until 10 September to apply with shortlisting to take place the following day.

A ballot of union members will then take place in october.

The post is full-time post and is based at the union’s Headland House HQ in Central London.
