Publisher unveils new group HR director

Trinity Mirror has announced the appointment of a new director to oversee human resources across the company.

Rachel Stock will take on the newly-created role of group HR director in January 2015 and will report directly to chief executive Simon Fox.

Currently HR Director for Hearst Magazines UK, Rachel previously worked as the BBC’s HR director, News and Audio Music and before that at Random House in a variety of senior HR roles.

She said: “Trinity Mirror is an organisation with a great heritage, iconic brands, talented people and it has an exciting and ambitious future. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of its future success.”

Added Simon: “I am delighted that we have attracted somebody of Rachel’s calibre to this key new role. Creating a positive and collaborative working environment for everyone who works for Trinity Mirror is incredibly important to me.

“Ultimately, I want Trinity Mirror to become one of the most open, creative and dynamic places to work and Rachel’s leadership across HR will help us to realise these goals.”
