The Asian Media Award for 2014 have been launched with a new category for the most outstanding young journalist.

First held last year, the awards aim to reward the contribution of members of the Asian media as well as recognise reporters, writers and producers who have highlighted issues affecting race relations and human rights.

Categories copver print, social media, radio, TV and marketing with the shortlist to be unviled on Monday 29 September and the ceremony to take place in Manchester in October.
