If sod’s law dictates that stories about media gaffes invariably contain mistakes, then maybe it’s also the case that stories about subbing invariably contain subbing errors.

Certainly that was the experience of the Grimsby Telegraph when it published a story announcing that the paper’s subbing operation was returning to the town after three years at the now defunct production hub in Hull.

As this screengrab from its website shows, the newspaper revealed that production was being brought back in-house to its offices at Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes.

Only one problem – its address is actually 80 Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby.
