Journalist walks her way towards charity target

A former newspaper reporter who underwent life-changing brain surgery is well on the way to meeting her £1,000 fundraising target for an epilepsy charity.

Anna Coe, a former reporter at the West Sussex County Times who has had epilepsy for 20 years, took part in a ten mile walk on Sunday for Epilepsy Action.

Anna took part in the sponsored walk with husband Scott and the pair have raised £640 from donations so far with more fundraising events planned.

Anna, who had pioneering surgery to remove part of her brain to prevent seizures, said: “The epilepsy team in London have been great. It’s a dream come true but there is so much work to be done to raise awareness of epilepsy and I still don’t know if I’ll be seizure-free for life.”

Online donations can be made here.
