Liverpool Echo readers are being asked to write their perfect headline for the newspaper to celebrate the newspaper’s Freedom of the City award.
Entrants have been asked to keep it clean and to use less than ten words. To encouarge readers the news team gave examples of their ideal headline, with one being ‘Madonna to play Echo Arena. ’
Editor Alastair Machray, who will judge the competition, said: “The perfect headline should be concise, exciting and stop people in their tracks.”
The best headlines is to be featured in the paper with the winner and three guests being invited to the Echo’s official Freedom Of The City ceremony on 5 July .
