Journalist’s role at group extended with new post

A journalist whose career with newspaper group Archant started 20 years ago has been promoted to a new role.

Robyn Bechelet has become the group publisher at Archant Dialogue, the contract and customer publishing arm of the group, extending her continuing role in creating digital magazines and print projects for Archant Life.

In her new role, which started this month, she is also an account director for a portfolio of consumer and B2B print and digital communications for a range of internal and external clients.

Robyn started with Archant, then ECNG, in 1990 as a junior reporter for the East Anglian Daily Times, where she became news editor and launch editor for the EADT’s Saturday magazine.

She later became group editor then publisher for Archant Life East – responsible for titles including Essex Life, Hertfordshire Life, West Essex Life and Pure Weddings.

Archant Dialogue MD Mick Hurrell said: “I’m delighted that Robyn has joined us to be a key member of our senior team at what is an exciting and challenging time in the agency’s growth.”
