Former Wrexham Mail reporter Keith Harrison has been featured in a BBC documentary based on Donald Campbell’s fatal last attempt to break his own world water speed record.
Keith, played by actor Eddie Randall, regularly covered Campbell’s land and water exploits for the Press Association.


A North Staffordshire library has received copies of the Cheadle Herald and General Advertiser from 1877 to 1924 thanks to the Newsplan 2000 Project.
The initiative, co-funded by the regional newspaper industry and the Heritage Lottery fund, aims to preserve newspaper titles from across the country.

The community newsletter the Cosby News will celebrate its 60th anniversary this month.
The local heritage society is sponsoring a reissue of the first village news sheet, which is delivered free to every house and contains items of local interest. The first edition highlighted the many ways Cosby people were helping the war effort in January 1944.
