Anne Gould has been promoted to assistant editor at the Evening Star, Ipswich.

She has been with the paper since 1979 and will take responsibility for all feature and news feature content for the Evening Star’s print and on-line editions, making the most of her background in features and experience in her previous position as features editor.

She will also co-ordinate the Evening Star’s portfolio of columnists.

Editor Nigel Pickover said: “Her new role comes at a time of unprecedented success for The Star. Capitalising on this platform will be a key challenge and I wish her well in the hard work ahead.”
