FA Cup fever is gripping supporters of Aston Villa – who saw off Bolton in Sunday’s first semi-final.

The Birmingham Evening Mail put out a supplement yesterday in response to the team’s victory.

Now they must wait to see who emerges victorious from next Sunday’s semi-final clash between Newcastle and Chelsea.

Newcastle’s Evening Chronicle is giving its backing in the form of giant hands which say “Newcastle United and the Evening Chronicle – A winning team”.

After an overwhelming response when the paper offered the hands to fans last year, they have got hold of another 5,000 which will be given away to fans heading for Wembley.

To get a free hand, readers of the paper need to collect three tokens which are being printed in the paper this week.
