Nottingham Evening Post journalist Scott Fisher has been honoured with a national award for his motoring writing.

Scott, who is the paper’s motoring editor, has been crowned Regional Motoring Journalist of the Year by the Guild of Motoring Writers, an organisation made up of the UK’s leading motoring journalists including newspaper, magazine, TV and radio staff.

He impressed judges with a series of articles which included a road test in the UK’s first Alpina B7, imported by Nottingham BMW dealership Sytner.

Judges also praised the breadth of the the Evening Post’s motoring coverage, giving particular praise to its “excellent” Friday Motoring supplement.

Scott was presented with his winner’s trophy during a ceremony at London’s historic Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall.
