The CN Group – formerly Cumbrian News Group – was a family-owned publisher based in Carlisle.
It was responsible for a number of daily and weekly newspapers in Cumbria, Northumberland and south west Scotland.
For four generations the company had been controlled by the Burgess family before its last owner Robin Burgess decided to sell-up in 2018.
It is now owned by Newsquest.
