Inverness Courier and the Highland News

|Employer:||Scottish Provincial Press Ltd|
|Employment Type:||Full time|
A rare vacancy has arisen for a reporter in the beautiful Highland capital of Inverness.
These are exciting times for Inverness and the successful applicant will get the opportunity to work on two award-winning titles, the twice-weekly Inverness Courier and the weekly Highland News.
The Courier covers everything from community news to stories that make a national impact. In the recent past we have highlighted the use of armed police for routine patrols, campaigned for new speed limits on the A9, challenged the long waiting lists endured by people with autism and helped raise £2 million for a dedicated children's unit at the city's hospital.
The Highland News is an exciting tabloid at the very heart of the community it serves as the long list of awards it has won reflects.
We are looking for a journalist with a great news sense who hits every deadline and can meet our exacting quality standards, both in print and online. The job would suit a qualified senior with the appetite to make a real mark.
The successful candidate will be expected to dig out the real stories behind the headlines and play an important role in developing our digital strategy.
In return we offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to work for a company that continues to invest in journalism. You would also live in one of the most beautiful, and newsiest, parts of Britain.
