The award-winning Society of Editors Daily Newspaper of the Year (below 20,000) The Mail, in Barrow-in-Furness has a unique opening for a Crime reporter/reporter.
The busy three edition, campaigning daily newspaper is part of Newsquest Cumbria - one of the country's leading regional media companies.
The vacancy available is ideally for a senior reporter but applications from trainee reporters will be considered.
South Cumbria is a beautiful part of the world in which to live and work and offers reporters a wide variety of stories to get their teeth into. This year alone the paper has covered big national stories ranging from the influx of high profile drugs death in Barrow, a visit from the Prime Minister and other high profile ministers as well as the government investing millions of pounds into the BAE Shipyard.
To be considered for this role, you will have passed your NCTJ prelims with shorthand and/or be fully NQJ qualified or working towards the qualification.
