Job Description

The London Ambulance Service is the busiest ambulance service in the country answering more than 6,000 calls and responding to 3,000 emergencies every day in our capital.

We are looking for a talented communications specialist to help us tell our story of building a world-class ambulance service for this world-class city.

You will produce high-quality, sophisticated audio visual content that grabs the attention of our audiences whether that be films and graphics for our digital channels or photographs of staff events for the intranet.

This is a varied communications role. You will be proactive in planning, scripting, shooting and editing multimedia products for internal and external use as well as generating news, features and press releases for traditional media outlets.

A subject matter expert, you will give trusted advice to the Service on how to meet our communications objectives through imagery and film as well as help train media officers in basic skills such as video editing and photography to maximise our in-house resources.

A self-starting attitude is a must as you will be responsible for curating our library of photographic and video material as well as maintaining our photographic, video and computer equipment.

Given the nature of our work with journalists, you will work to tight deadlines and will be required to join the out-of-hours on call rota responding to media enquiries.
