Trainee & junior reporters
|Employment Type:||Full time|
|Salary:||Competitive and DoE.|
|Sector:||News and Content Agencies|
Who We Are
Triangle News is a London-based national news agency providing agenda-setting stories to Britain’s largest media outlets. If you read a newspaper, a magazine, surf the web or share news online, chances are you have seen one of our stories. We believe content should be entertaining, informative, shareable and targeted to the modern, mobile-centric consumer.
We are independently-run and committed to making an impact on the world of journalism. You will be joining a small, friendly and ambitious team with a focus on delivering quality content and supporting talented journalists with years of national newspaper experience.
We need someone brimming with ideas to take on the role of full-time features writer here at Triangle News. The position is full of variety, with the successful applicant writing across newspapers and magazines. There will also be the opportunity to pitch your exclusive content to television stations and publications across the world. The role will be perfect for a self starter with a heaving contacts book and a newsy background who is as happy writing a double page spread for a tabloid as they are a human interest piece for women’s magazines like Take A Break, That’s Life, Chat, Pick Me Up or Closer.
You will be working alongside members of the news team in order to add value to existing content as well as manage relationships with clients and publishers.
You will report directly to the company directors and be part of a hugely talented team of friendly journalists. The opportunity presents a chance to progress your career, write for some of Britain’s largest titles, grow your portfolio and be part of an ambitious and growing agency.
We are looking for a reporter who can match our ambition and who is hungry to be a part of a ground-breaking new independent agency.
This role is perfect for a recent graduate, ideally with local newspaper, magazine or agency experience.
You will live and breathe features, have NCTJ qualifications and be able to provide a strong portfolio as well as having bucket-loads of ideas. You must know your Closers from your Take-A-Breaks and your Sun from your Sunday People.
You must have 100wpm shorthand and a full, clean driving licence is preferred.
A good sense of humour is very important and the ideal candidate must be able to speak naturally and confidently to people from all backgrounds.
Competitive and DoE.
