Feature Writer, Caters News Agency
Our busy features desk is expanding, and we’re looking for an ambitious writer to join the team at our headquarters in Birmingham, UK.
At Caters, our journalists source top-quality real-life stories every day that fill the national newspapers and magazines.
We’re on the hunt for a real ‘people-person’ who can get even the most reluctant interviewee to open up and share their story on a global scale.
You’ll need to be switched on enough to spot a great story, and competitive and determined enough to make sure you’re the first person to get that story.
Successful candidates will be expected to generate their own ideas, so being a creative self-starter is a must.
We want someone who can hit the ground running, who’s not afraid to get stuck in and speak to people from all walks of life, helping them to share their stories.
Our first-class worldwide syndication department means that our journalists’ work ends up in publications all over the world – from USA, Australia, India and beyond.
Dozens of our staff have gone on to be head hunted by national newspapers – there’s no better place to make a name for yourself in journalism.
If you’re a switched-on, creative, passionate and ambitious journalist who wants to see your stories published in media outlets across the globe, then it’s the ideal opportunity.
Candidates need to have an NCTJ qualification or equivalent, as well as their own transport and a clean driving licence.
As with all the best jobs in journalism, having a thick skin and a sense of humour is also helpful.
The ideal candidate will have experience at an agency or on a regional paper, but applications from exceptional entry-level reporters are also welcome.
To join our friendly and fast growing team please send across your CV, covering letter and salary expectations to; email@example.com
Please mention HoldtheFrontPage when applying for this role. This advert will expire on Thursday 1st February 2018.
