|Employer:||The Yorkshire Post|
|Employment Type:||Full time|
Britain’s Most Trusted Newspaper is looking to appoint someone to help lead the next stage of our digital future. This is a rare opportunity for someone to join our award-winning Leeds-based newsroom as the Digital Editor, The Yorkshire Post.
We have a new app; new newsletters; new analytics; new content plan and a new website is coming down the tracks. What we need now is a proven editorial leader with a passion for the kind of high quality journalism that sets this title apart, making it JPIMedia’s National Title of The Year for 2018 and leading us to the Society of Editors’ Campaign of the Year and Front Page of the Year for 2018.
The successful candidate will be committing to playing a leading role in transforming www.yorkshirepost.co.uk to an online destination of which Yorkshire is proud.
We have already determined to place our readers at the centre of every content and product decision we make, with a view to building a large and highly engaged audience that regards the time spent on our site as time well invested. But there is much to do, and that is where you come in.
A proven leader with a passion for high quality journalism, you will be responsible for the output of the website and its associated channels.
As the curator responsible for online output, you will help those around you to make informed decisions about the kind of content they commission, create, curate and publish, providing insight as to how their work is received by the people that really matter: our readers.
You do that with a well thought-out publishing plan that combines your knowledge of The Yorkshire Post’s highly discerning - and demanding - readership and data pulled from our increasingly sophisticated analytics tools.
Applications for this senior role should be made directly to the editor: email@example.com
Deadline for applications: Friday 21st June.
Please mention HoldtheFrontPage when applying for this role. This advert will expire on Tuesday 18th June 2019.
