If you’re looking for the next step up in your communications career then this is the job for you. We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic communications officer to join our busy and dynamic team here at Nottinghamshire Police.
As an integral part of the team, you will be able to manage complex situations from dealing with media crises through delivering hard hitting campaigns aimed at changing behaviours.
We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written skills and a background in media or campaigning communications, both externally and internally.
An understanding of web development and analysis of insight/evaluation and communications channel development are also desirable skills which will highlight your suitability for the role. Having an understanding of forward planning and communications campaigns and media management would also be advantageous for those applying to this role.
The scope of the work will include writing press releases and statements, producing and managing campaigns, managing all communications channels and using photography, videography and design and print work to enhance communications.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for positive communications; will be innovative, well-organised and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail. You will be able to demonstrate working within various communications specialisms delivering impact and tangible change.
