While news editing you will be expected to help sub reporters’ copy, making sure it is legally sound, IPSO-compliant, while also engaging, accurate and concise.
While reporting, you will need to be a committed team player. You will be expected to work across all fields for a variety of national newspapers and websites. You must be keen to bounce your ideas off other members of staff and come in every day knowing exactly what’s on the news agenda.
The successful applicant absolutely must be a vibrant self-starter as you will not be drip-fed things to do.

You must have an NCTJ journalism qualification or equivalent and 100wpm shorthand. A full clean driving licence is a must, although you do not need to own a vehicle.
