An editorial boss is to return to his former title in a new role after seven months away.

Sam Cooper has announced he will be rejoining Lincolnshire Live as audience editor in a post that will also involve him working at its Reach plc sister websites Derbyshire Live and Nottinghamshire Live.

Sam, pictured, previously spent a year as content editor at Lincolnshire Live but moved last summer to take the same role at Grimsby Live and Hull Live, the online arms of the Grimsby Telegraph and Hull Daily Mail respectively.

He is a former news editor at Sheffield daily The Star and spent two years as journalism course leader at Sheffield College between 2019 and 2021.

Sam announced his latest move on Twitter earlier this week.

He wrote: “Saturday will be my last shift at Hull Live. Excited to get to work as audience editor for Nottinghamshire Live, Lincolnshire Live and Derbyshire Live from Monday.

“This gives me another chance to thank everyone who has helped me since I got back into the game.”
