Daily runs souvenir edition to mark Banksy exhibition’s end

A daily newspaper ran a special edition featuring exclusive Banksy images to mark the end of an exhibition by the artist.

Glasgow-based daily The Herald has published the souvenir to mark the end of the attraction at the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art.

In June, The Herald landed an exclusive with the semi-anonymous artist as he prepared to open the exhibition, entitled ‘Cut & Run’.

The Herald splashed on the event’s closure on Monday, pictured.

Editor Catherine Salmond told HTFP: “These souvenir front pages show The Herald at our very best: bold, passionate and eager to be different.

“Our enthusiasm, creativity and edge, is mirrored in the city of Glasgow – and its people – and in the reasons it was chosen as the host for Banksy’s Cut & Run exhibition.

“In a digitally focused industry, it has been exciting to go back to our roots and let our print product shine, and I am immensely proud of my team for going above and beyond with their time and talent.”
