A city weekly has thanked readers and advertisers after celebrating the publication of its 300th edition.
The Cambridge Independent has marked the milestone less than six years after it was launched by Iliffe Media.
In the time since, the Independent has won four consecutive Weekly Newspaper of the Year titles at the newsawards.
The 300th edition milestone was marked on this week’s front page, pictured below.
In a message to readers, editor Paul Brackley said: “Our 300th edition represents a real milestone and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our readers and advertisers for their support.
“Launching a new newspaper is always a bold undertaking, but we feel vindicated in doing so by the incredible response we have had and we continue to attract new readers.
“We hope we provide a service that informs and entertains, and we very much look forward to our next 300 editions.”
