Retired chief photographer’s book reprinted as he turns 82

A retired chief photographer’s book highlighting half a century of documenting his patch has been republished as he marks his 82nd birthday.

Graham Gough’s ‘The Black Country Album: 50 Years of Events, People and Places’ has been reprinted.

Graham served as chief photographer of Wolverhampton daily the Express & Star until he took early retirement in 2001.

The book captures many memorable events over the decades, as well as the social changes that have taken place in the Black Country.

Famous subjects featured in the book include Prince Charles and comedian Larry Grayson.

Graham began his career in 1954 at the former Dudley Herald.

He left to work on the Daily Mirror, before returning to the Express & Star in 1974,
