More than 14,000 needy children will receive gifts this Christmas thanks to a regional daily.
The Birmingham Mail has thanked readers who contributed to its ‘Brumwish’ drive to get toys, games and goodies to as many vulnerable young people as possible.
The campaign was relaunched last month following its initial success ahead of Christmas 2020.
The appeal has been run in conjunction with campaign group Toys4Birmingham.
Eighty separate charities and organisations involved in frontline work with children in need received bundles of gifts as a result of the campaign
Mail editor Graeme Brown coordinated the Brumwish side of the appeal.
He said: “We know Brummies are amazing and always step up, and yet again they have done us all proud.”
