A content chief has been named a regional publisher’s best employee at the company’s awards night.
Archant has honoured content director Laura Adams, pictured, with the Employee of the Year prize at the Archant Awards.
A ceremony held in Norwich celebrated achievements across the company over the past 18 months, with more than 230 staff in attendance.
The Content of the Year prize went to ‘Unfinished’ – an investigation into the apparent police cover-up of a sex abuse ring 30 years ago by journalists Tom Bristow, Charles Thomson and Emily Townsend.
Addressing Thursday’s ceremony, Archant chief executive Lorna Willis said: “Over these past 18 months you have fought for our communities, our audiences, our customers and each other like never before.
“The passion and heart I see each and every day is overwhelming. The level of achievement, innovation, creativity and pride has been off the scale.
“Quite simply, you have made the extraordinary ordinary. Part of the way we do things at Archant.
“The standard of the entries was like nothing seen before and every one of our 123 finalists should be proud beyond belief.
“In previous years you would have won your category hands down, which shows just how much the quality benchmark has been raised this year – our best ever by far.”
