A new district reporter has joined a regional news website after it launched a dedicated title for a town on its patch.

Sarah O’Hara has joined Cheshire Live as its Warrington reporter after the Reach plc-owned site launched a Warrington Live channel.

Sarah, pictured, joins after studying for NCTJ qualifications at The City of Liverpool College.

Warrington Live launched on Monday in competition with existing titles including Newsquest’s Warrington Guardian and the independent Cheshire Times.

Reach is currently pursuing an aim to have a digital title covering every county in England and Wales by the end of this year.

Sarah said: “Warrington is such a fantastic place, with so much going on, and I’m thrilled and privileged to be in a position to report the things that really matter to people here.

“The last year has been so tough for everyone, but now life is slowly getting back to normal, I’m really looking forward to reporting on all the amazing things people are doing in their communities.”
