A weekly newspaper will include the latest edition of its sister title as a pull-out due to distrubution issues arising from the coronavirus crisis.
The May edition of Newsquest’s Northern Farmer magazine will feature inside this Friday’s Darlington & Stockton Times to help spread agricultural news to the “widest possible audience” during the pandemic.
The move comes as the restrictions imposed as a result of the crisis have caused “significant issues for the normal distribution of the magazine”, according to the Times.
Both titles will include all their usual features and news.
Times editor Hannah Chapman said: “Farming news has always been a crucial part of D&S, so it is good news for readers that the first edition of the month will now include Northern Farmer magazine, for no extra cost.
“In these difficult times, it is a great opportunity for both titles.”
Andrew Hitchon, editor of Northern Farmer, added: “By combining with our sister title we will ensure that our loyal readers will continue to enjoy the best of farming news and features from across the North of England.”
