A weekly newspaper has launched a campaign to help businesses struggling due to coronavirus ahead of Christmas.
The Redditch Advertiser’s Love Local Business campaign is encouraging people to spend their money locally in the run-up to the festive season.
It comes after the Advertiser ran a similar campaign over the course of the summer.
Editor Stephanie Preece, pictured, pledged to “do all we can for local businesses” in a message to readers.
She said: “Our local traders and services have suffered terribly during the lockdown and deserve any support we can give them.
“The run-up to Christmas is going to be a key period for many local and independent traders.
“When we launched our Love Local Business earlier this year, we were able to shine light on lots of local businesses that were emerging from the lockdown and looking to rebuild their trade.
“In the coming weeks we will be promoting these businesses in our newspaper, on our website and our social media channels, to help spread the message that they are open and highlight why they are so valuable to this community.”
