Regional title enters 10th year after surviving ‘commercial challenges’

A regional title is celebrating entering its 10th year in existence after surviving the “commercial challenges” of coronavirus.

Glossy lifestyle publication Maidstone & Medway Magazine is marking another milestone after publishing its 100th edition, a special tribute to the NHS, in May.

The magazine has 25,000 monthly readers across Kent and covers fashion, eating out, celebrity and travel.

Publisher Rasa Dregva, pictured, said the magazine had endured “one of the most challenging periods of its existence”.

She added: “We could never have imagined quite what a challenge 2020 would be.

“We had seen years of growth and then the pandemic changed everything.

“But our team worked so hard despite all that was going on around us and the commercial challenges we faced.

“Fortunately, we have some very loyal advertisers who stuck by us, and we are seeing more and more return after so many were forced to close during the lockdowns. And as we enter our 10th year, we are feeling optimistic once again.

“Kent is a wonderful county with so much to offer, and the appetite for what we have delivered has always proved hugely popular. Here’s to the next 10 years.”
