PA Media Group’s chief executive has become chairman of NLA Media Access, it has been announced.
Clive Marshall has been unveiled as the new holder of the role with NLA, the collecting society for UK newspapers.
Brian McCarthy will retire from the organisation’sn board after eight years, having served as interim chairman for the past 12 months.
Clive, pictured, has been CEO of PA Media Group, the parent company of PA, since 2010.
He said: “I am looking forward to joining the team as the NLA continues to explore growth opportunities, driving value for publishers and supporting journalism.”
NLA managing director Henry Jones added: “I’m delighted that Clive is taking on the chairmanship of NLA.
“His knowledge of the industry, digital focus and track record will be of huge benefit to NLA at such an important time for the business.”
