Ex-regional digital chief joins former journalists’ PR firm

A former reporter has been recruited by two ex-journalists to join their public relations firm.

Carlisle-based agency Intro has appointed Sally Edgar as a marketing manager.

Sally, a former ITV reporter, has more recently worked in a content marketing manager role for Newsquest.

Intro was launched in 2018 by former CN digital strategy manager and Society of Editors president Nick Turner, along with ex-CN colleague Helen Statham.

The company now has nine members of staff and counts the Cumberland Building Society, Lakes College, Stagecoach and Eden District Council among its clients.

Sally said: “I’m very excited to have joined the team at Intro.

“It’s a fantastic agency, full of brilliantly creative and experienced people who are passionate about what they do.

“I’m looking forward to helping lead the team into the next phase; building upon their current success to create innovative campaigns, and get the best possible results for our clients.”

Helen added: “We’re very excited to have Sally joining us to help lead the team.

“Her experience in digital and content marketing will be a big help in getting results for our clients.

“At Intro we have an emphasis on creative ideas – whether that’s attention-grabbing social media campaigns or more wacky ventures such as delivering bunches of flowers to dozens of businesses to promote a course.”
