Newspaper showcases best views of patch in week-long series

A regional daily is running a week-long series focusing on the best views of its patch.

The Yorkshire Evening Post has spoken to a series of people in Leeds who live in vantage points showing the city’s skyline.

The interviews were conducted by reporter Emma Ryan, with the series being launched on the YEP’s front page on Monday, pictured below.

Her first report featured 78-year-old Sandra Ogden, who has lived in the same 13th floor flat for 35 years.

An accompanying YEP editorial reads: “The skyline of Leeds has transformed dramatically over the years – from the striking Bridgewater Place to the new buildings springing up on the city’s South Bank development.

“As Leeds continues to grow and progress so too does the views of our great city.

“And that is why we are today launching a series of special reports looking at those who have the best views.

“You can be assured that some of our reports were pulled together before the COVID-19 outbreak – but our window to the world feels like it has never been more important.”
