A weekly newspaper has relaunched its entertainment and events section with a new name.

The Isle of Wight County Press has announced the launch of Wight Guide, which was published for the first time in its 31 May edition.

The what’s on section had previously been known as Weekender.

Past features including a gardening page, crossword, columnists and information pages have been retained in the new look section.

Readers have also been urged to “look out for some new features in the weeks to come”.

County Press editor Emily Pearce said: “I am delighted to refresh the look of the paper. I think the new Wight Guide looks great and I hope our readers and advertisers will agree.”
