Reach launches podcast on crimes covered by its journalists

A regional publisher has launched a new podcast telling some of the most “harrowing and unbelievable” crimes covered by its journalists.

Reach plc’s ‘Unbelievable: A True Crime Podcast’ aims to take listeners on an “in-depth journey into the minds of some of the worst criminals of the 21st Century”.

The 10-part series will be hosted by Bristol Live reporter Bronwen Weatherby, with new episodes being made available weekly.

The first episode, released earlier this week, focuses on the coverage from Liverpool Echo’s court reporter Neil Docking about the torture and eventual death of family man Joseph McKeever.

The 54-year-old’s body was found in the boot of a stolen Ford Focus that had been set on fire in June 2017, and would launch one of the most complex investigations seen by Merseyside Police in recent years.

Other episodes include the murder of author Helen Bailey, who was found buried alongside her dog underneath her Hertfordshire home.

The podcast can be found on Apple Podcasts, Acast, Stitcher and Google.
