A regional news website is launching a new digital newsletter to keep readers up to date each weekend.
Cornwall Live has announced the launch of the Weekend Report, which will be emailed to subscribers every Saturday morning.
The newsletter will feature the latest stories, videos, pictures and behind-the-scenes content from Cornwall Live’s reporters, as well as the best of its weekend stories, and a recap of the week’s biggest talking points.
The first edition will be sent out this Saturday.
In a message to readers, editor Philippa Jenkins said: “Cornwall Live editor Philippa Jenkins said: “I am delighted to be launching our first newsletter.
“It will not only showcase the best of what we do but also give those readers, who sign up, the chance to get all the latest news sent directly to them each Saturday morning.
“When we all live such busy lives newsletters can often be the easiest way to keep up to date and that is exactly what we hope the Cornwall Live newsletter will provide for everyone here in Cornwall.”

I’m surprised more ailing regional publishers don’t do this or convert low selling, low revenue dailies to either an online weekly review or convert to a weekly weekend newspaper instead of pushing out tired papers hardly anyone buys and where the quality and content is deteriorating week by week.
A local daily cannot compete with the many instant online news sites and independent social media postings for breaking news and instant images but might have a chance if they accepted the situation and worked around it.
Bundling up all their output into a good weekly edition would incur less cost and give hard pressed staff more time to ‘get it right’
