Regional daily editor to host new political podcast

The stooshieA regional daily editor is to present a new politics podcast featuring journalists from his newspaper’s sister titles.

David Clegg, who edits Dundee daily The Courier, is anchoring The Stooshie, which will be recorded daily in the run-up to the general election.

The podcast, run by Courier owner DC Thomson, will feature commentators from The Courier, Aberdeen daily The Press & Journal, the Dundee Evening Telegraph and Aberdeen Evening Express.

In Scotland, a ‘stooshie’ is a term describing a commotion, rumpus or row.

David has won Political Journalist of the Year four times at the Scottish Press Awards.

He took over at The Courier in October after the retirement of Catriona MacInnes.

He said: “DC Thomson Media’s newspapers are providing unrivalled coverage of the general election and I am thrilled The Stooshie podcast is able to harvest expertise from across our titles to provide penetrating insight from the front line of Scotland’s political debate.”
