Publisher announces regional MD to retire next month

Sandra PerratonA regional managing director is set to retire from her role at an independent newspaper publisher next month.

Tindle Newspapers has announced the retirement of Sandra Perraton, who will leave the company after 16 years’ service at the end of March.

Sandra has held a number of senior roles with Tindle, including her current position as regional managing director for part of Tindle Newspaper’s South-West operation.

She has also served as managing director of Devon Cornwall Newspapers.

Sandra, pictured, said: “I have enjoyed all of my 16 years working with Tindle Newspapers. It has been like working within a family and I am delighted to retain my connection acting as an ambassador for the group in the South-West.

“I am confident that local papers have a great future and I wish them every success.”

Owen Tindle, chairman of Tindle Newspapers, said: “I would like to thank Sandra on behalf of the company and my family for her many years of service and in particular for her leadership of the company’s newspaper titles focused on the Newton Abbot area.

“I am particularly pleased that Sandra has agreed to continue her association with the company by acting as an ambassador for the group in the South-West.”

Earlier this month Tindle confirmed it was making 17 full-time and nine part-time roles redundant after moving its advertising production operations to a central hub in Devon.
