Editor leaves weekly after three years in charge

Patrick Edwards 1An editor who ran a weekly newspaper for almost three years has left the title.

Patrick Edwards, left, has resigned from his role as editorial manager at the Brecon & Radnor Express, which he had held since October 2016.

Patrick, 53, told HTFP: “I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of editing my first newspaper and hope I will continue to have a career in newspapers.

“I am grateful to everyone in the editorial team for their hard work and wish them all the best for the future.”

Patrick began his career on the Exeter Leader in 1989 and is a former chief sub-editor on the Plymouth Herald, assistant night editor at Metro, and content editor on the Daily Telegraph.

He has worked as a casual sub on national titles including the Daily Express, Independent, The Sun, The Times, Sunday Times and Irish Independent.

Tindle Newspapers has declined to comment.
