Regional daily journalists face politicians in football fundraising challenge

A group of regional daily journalists went head to head with politicians on their patch in a fundraising football match.

Staff from the Express & Star, Wolverhampton,  faced a team of MPs and local councillors from across the political spectrum on Saturday.

The Press v Politicians match was held in aid of Bilston Town Football Club, which is aiming to raise £3,000 for new floodlights after a number of lighting issues began to affect games.

More than £1,800 had been donated online ahead of the fixture.
