Laura Adams, Archant content director for London, Kent, Herts & Cambs and Southwest Newspapers, announced the two appointments in a message to staff which has been seen by HTFP.

Said Laura: “I hope you will join me in welcoming both Jim and Andre to the South West team.

“I would like to take the opportunity to wish outgoing group editor Andy Keeble the very best as he leaves us for pastures new. Andy started his career as a trainee reporter on the North Devon Gazette and rose through the ranks to the role of group editor in which he played a key role in developing the content operations in the South-West.

“Similarly I would also like to recognise the hard work and commitment of former Devon editor Stefan Gordon who left the business during the summer. May I wish him the very best for the future.

“Finally, I would like to pass on my gratitude to the content teams who have managed brilliantly during this period of change and recruitment process. I have been hugely impressed by the unrelenting professionalism and commitment of the journalists and would like to thank you all personally for your efforts.”
