Eleven regional photographers have been longlisted for an award celebrating the best royal press photography of the past year.
The News Media Association has announced the nominees for its Royal Rota photography competition, with a total of 48 photographs making the final.
Ten photographers from regional press titles have had one of their submissions make the longlist, while Ian Longthorne, of the Windsor Express, was successful with two entries.
A public vote on the NMA’s website will now be used to produce a shortlist, which will then be judged by a panel of industry experts.
Categories to be decided include Regional/Local Newspaper Rota Photo of the Year, National Newspaper Rota Photo of the Year, Rota Picture Agency Rota Photo of the Year and Overall Rota Photo of the Year.
A special prize for Rota photographs of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle together will also be awarded.
The public vote, which can be found here, runs until Friday 28 September.
