Eleven regional photographers make royal picture contest longlist

Eleven regional photographers have been longlisted for an award celebrating the best royal press photography of the past year.

The News Media Association has announced the nominees for its Royal Rota photography competition, with a total of 48 photographs making the final.

Ten photographers from regional press titles have had one of their submissions make the longlist, while Ian Longthorne, of the Windsor Express, was successful with two entries.

A public vote on the NMA’s website will now be used to produce a shortlist, which will then be judged by a panel of industry experts.

Well, Dave S, I’m really just trying to get a handle on how many staffers are left. Not dissing freelances!
