Conference will ‘celebrate creativity in news design’

Newspaper designers are set to meet in London next month for a conference which organisers say will ‘celebrate creativity in news design.’

The Society for News Design is holding its first ever conference, with designers from across the world converging on the capital for the event.

More than 20 speakers will address the conference, including former Southern Daily Echo editor Ian Murray, who now serves as deputy executive director of the Society of Editors.

Sessions at the one-day event on 3 November will cover all areas of editorial design, online, mobile, infographics, magazine and virtual reality.

“The conference will bring together the most creative minds in the industry to talk about what’s going on in their professional life, what are the challenges of designers and how they succeed,” said the Society.

The event will be held at News UK’s headquarters on London Bridge Street, London, DE1 9GF. To sign up, click here.
