Regional magazine editor wins two honours in as many days

Louise TaylorA regional interest magazine’s editor has been honoured twice in as many days by separate organisations.

Cheshire Life editor Louise Taylor, left, was announced as the the Patron of the Royal Cheshire County Show 2017 by the Cheshire Agricultural Society.

Then, the following day, she was named as one of the top 100 Inspiring Women by the Manchester Evening News.

Louise has worked for regional publisher Archant for 16 years, the last nine of which have been spent as editor of Cheshire Life.

She said: “I was astounded by the calibre of the women on the list: high-flying international lawyers, wealthy entrepreneurs, and even actors Maxine Peake and Anna Friel.

“There are no other journalists on the list so it says something about the role of Cheshire Life in the region. It’s an honour for the magazine, really, rather than me.

“That’s also how I see the compliment of being Patron of the Royal Cheshire County Show. The magazine is held in great affection by the local established community.

“Over the past few years I’ve got to know the Show committee and they really appreciate the support we give them.”
