New local TV station to feature bilingual programming

Made North WalesA local television company has announced the launch date of its newest channel – and revealed that it will feature bilingual programming.

HTFP reported earlier this month that Made Television is set to launch Made in Teesside at the end of March, and has also been awarded the licence to run a station in Mold, North Wales.

The company, which already runs channels in six cities, has now announced Made in North Wales will go live on 26 April.

The station will feature a nightly news bulletin and a variety of programmes covering lifestyle, sport and Welsh language shows.

Made Television chief executive Jamie Conwa said: “North Wales is a vibrant and beautiful part of the UK and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to entertain viewers living here with programming that will be tailored to their needs.

“Our aim is to inspire and engage and we are looking forward to unveiling some fantastic new programming when we launch next month.”

He added: “We are committed to providing opportunities for local people to get involved in what we do and we’re looking forward to working with the local community in North Wales so that we can bring a channel that is truly dedicated to them.”
