The shortlist has been unveiled for this year’s Wales Media Awards, the third since the competition was revived in 2015.
The 2017 awards, which will be held in Cardiff on 31 March, will be presented across 19 categories covering print, online, radio and television.
More than 30 independent judges had to choose from almost 200 entries.
Trinity Mirror titles the Western Mail and North Wales Daily Post will go up against NWN Media’s The Leader for the Daily & Sunday Newspaper of the Year crown, while the Weekly Newspaper accolade will be fought out between the Cambrian News, Powys County Times and Western Telegraph.
