As ever, it’s been a busy summer transfer window and the eye-watering sums being spent on players seem to have left some newspapers struggling to keep abreast of it all.

Perhaps this helps explain why the Watford Observer last week printed a picture of Chelsea player Willian in a story about his team-mate, Watford FC transfer target Nathaniel Chalobah.

Luckily security staff at Watford were able to recognise the real Chalobah on his arrival at the club’s Vicarage Road stadium, allowing him to sign for the club on a five-year deal.

One would have thought the Observer might have learned from the mistakes of Irish daily The Herald, which was widely lampooned after running a photo of rapper Stormzy wearing a Manchester United kit in a story about the Red Devils’ new signing Romelu Lukaku.
