Regional daily readers are being offered the chance to claim a free pint of beer in a move inspired by TV comedy Red Dwarf.
Selected Trinity Mirror titles are today offering readers a free pint of Leopard Lager, the favoured drink of characters in the sitcom.
A voucher for the beer, which can be exchanged at selected pubs across the country, has appeared in TM’s big city titles such as the Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo, Birmingham Mail and The Chronicle, Newcastle.
It is also available to download for free on the Daily Mirror’s website.
The offer coincides with the new series of Red Dwarf, which starts tonight at 9pm on Dave.
The beer itself is described as “Light but with a bit of fizz and wicked strength, this golden favourite is one of the UK’s finest intergalactic exports.
“Pair with spicy curries and great comedy for an out-of-this-world experience.”
